Prince William and Shakira are excited to announce their new partnership for fighting the local weather trade.
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, and Colombian singer Shakira announced on Thursday, October 8, that both of them and a few influential people are at the Earthshot Prize council.
This panel has 13 members that seek to award $65 million to anyone who is making a substantial development or a remarkable contribution in solving the environmental challenges.
The Earthshot prize
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge launched the Earthshot Prize in December of 2019. The prestigious award is to inspire a new generation of thinkers, leaders, and dreamers to develop ideas to help the planet during a decade of action as per the Earthshot Prize site.
Prince William and Shakira came forward and teamed up for a digital meet about why they felt people must sign up for the local weather trade motion as a part of their announcement.

Shakira inspired by her child’s actions
Being a world-famous performer, Shakira shares how she was inspired by her two children, whom she has with partner Gerard Piqué.
She explained that she feels that this is her duty as a citizen and as a mother of two young children, to bring attention to these issues right now before it is too late and added that everyone must be involved.
It is urgent, it is imminent, and not a single one of us should be off the hook when it comes to repairing our planet, our home.
In addition to the sweet gesture about her two sons, Sasha, 5, and Milan, 7, it is understood that she is raising her kids to pay respect for the planet.
According to Shakira, Milan has already started being a responsible individual. He scolds her if she leaves the water running for too long when brushing her teeth, while Sasha has a habit of picking up the trash on the beach or in their neighborhood.
Prince William replied that it is good to hear that her children, even at the ages of seven and five, understand the issue and pay real attention.
They understand the need for it and are actively involving to try and to protect the environment.
He also added that he feels concerned about the anxiety level people will face in the next generations.
Moreover, he is hopeful that he, Shakira, Cate Blanchett, Queen Rania of Jordan, Sir David Attenborough, and more people will join hands to help solve these problems with a new initiative.
