Prince William used to blame Camilla Parker Bowles for her mom Princess Diana’s pain, which led to his fights with step-sister Laura.
Prince William and Prince Harry grew up in two homes because their parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, separated while they were young. According to a royal biographer, the Duke of Cambridge used to fight his step-sister, Laura.
Prince William and Laura’s fights revisited
Prince William and Prince Harry earned new siblings after Prince Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles, Laura, and Tom. However, Prince William and Laura didn’t get along well at the start.
According to Katie Nicholl in her 2010 book Harry and William, the future king and his step-sister used to fight a lot over their parents. The pair reportedly had bitter arguments leading up to Prince Charles and Camilla’s marriage.
Kate Middleton’s husband would reportedly blame Camilla for all the pain Princess Diana endured. According to reports, he saw the late Princess of Wales cried due to her failed marriage several times.
“William and Laura used to have terrible fights over who was to blame for their broken homes,” Nicholl wrote.
“William would blame Camilla for all the hurt she had caused his mother, which would send Laura into a rage. Laura was not having any of it. She would take a hard line and fire back at William’ your father has ruined my life.'”

Stepsiblings relationship got better over time
Eventually, Prince Harry’s brother and Laura found a soft spot for each other. They learned to work out their indifference for their parents, and from that time on, things got better.
“When they stopped blaming one another’s parents and let go of their painful pasts, Laura and William got along well,” Nicholl added.
Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry attended Laura’s wedding to Harry Lopes in 2006. Moreover, her daughter Eliza Lopes was one of the flower girls at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding.
Prince William feuding with Prince Harry too
Prince Harry and Prince William reportedly had a falling out over Meghan Markle. The Duke of Sussex was livid when the second in line to the throne advised him to slow down with his romance with the former Suits star.
Royal expert Phil Dampier said that the royal siblings’ relationship got worse when the Sussexes moved to the U.S. He predicted that it would take time for Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s sons to mend fences.
Royal brothers on speaking terms
Prince William and Prince Harry sparked rumors that they were feuding for months after the Sussexes left the royal family. However, according to Nicholl, the two have already sorted out their issues and are already on speaking terms.
“There have been clearly some quite major rifts in that relationship, but things have got better and I know that William and Harry are in touch on the phone,” Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight.
