Princess Eugenie moved into Frogmore Cottage, likely allowing Princess Beatrice to move into Kensington Palace.
Four months have already passed since Princess Beatrice, and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi tied the knot in Windsor. The couple remains tight-lipped about the details of their wedding. Nevertheless, reports said that they are currently residing at St. James’s Palace.
The eldest Princess of York used to live with her sister, Princess Eugenie, in the same royal household. But, the latter moved to Kensington Palace following her wedding to Jack Brooksbank in 2018.
Earlier this week, though, sources revealed that the youngest York Princess relocated to Frogmore Cottage, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle used to live. Accordingly, many are now speculating that her sister will likely follow in her footsteps, according to the Daily Express.
Will Princess Beatrice move to Kensington Palace?
With Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s recent move, this leaves Ivy Cottage vacant. This reportedly caused many royal observers to speculate that Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi might move to the property.
In the past, royal analysts thought that they would move into Nottingham Cottage, which is also on the grounds of Kensington Palace. However, the property features two bedrooms only, making it “cosier” than Eugenie’s Ivy Cottage.
The publication noted that the latter has three bedrooms. Hence, if the eldest York Princess and her husband would move into the London palace, then Ivy Cottage might be the more sensible option.
To date, the British Royals who reside in Kensington Palace include Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. Other royals who used to live in the estate include Princess Diana and Princess Margaret.
Princess Eugenie’s move to Frogmore Cottage
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry lived at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor following their wedding in 2018. But, the property became vacant after their exit in March, until earlier this week when the Daily Mirror reported that Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank moved into the estate.
Sources said that the Sussex couple felt “delighted” to let the York Princess and her husband stay in the property. It also seemingly makes sense why they move as the Royal Lodge is just a few minutes away. As noted, the York Princesses’ parents, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Prince Andrew, currently live in Windsor.
Amid all the talks, though, the British Royals remain silent about the matter, including Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi regarding their possible move to Kensington Palace. Hello! magazine pointed out, however, that the couple will celebrate a special milestone this December as it will be the first Christmas that they will mark as a married couple.
