Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank's baby to receive different treatment?

The British Royal Family will welcome another member next year when Princess Eugenie gives birth to her firstborn child.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank surprised royal fans upon announcing their pregnancy. Through social media, they shared that they are expecting their firstborn child in early 2021.

It remains undisclosed when they will exactly welcome the new young royal. The same is also true for other details, like the baby’s gender.

But, despite the lack of information, royal fans and experts continue to discuss several matters relating to the incoming new member of the royal fold. The Daily Express recently covered one of the topics, which mainly centers on why the York Princess’s child might receive a different treatment from the rest of the family.

On royal treatments

British Royals follow several royal traditions. Even in giving birth to their children, the family has specific customs.

But, the publication said that Princess Eugenie might “forego” some of these practices once the baby arrives. As noted, her and Jack Brooksbank’s firstborn child will have a “low position” in the line of succession.

Because of this dynamic, royal experts believe that the York Princess’s child (and future children) might not receive the same treatment Princes Harry and William’s children experience on a daily basis. Moreover, the first York grandchild may live a life far from the public’s eye.

Princess Eugenie to “forego” traditions

Speaking to the same publication, expert Marlene Koenig speculated all the possible royal traditions that Princess Eugenie might forego. She began by pointing out the usual Christening photo and “hospital photocall.”

She explained that the public might witness an official photo of the baby during the Christening without Prince Andrew. The expert, then, added that the York Princess might bypass, as well, the photo-op at the hospital, a move which many British Royals follow upon giving birth.

It will not be the first time that a member of the British Royal Family would go far from traditions, though. As noted, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also did the same thing when they welcomed Archie Harrison.

The Princess’s latest public appearance

Earlier last week, the youngest York Princess made an appearance in London. People reported that she “showed off” her baby bump as she heads toward her work.

Princess Eugenie is one of the most active royals on social media. But, despite this, she is not an official working royal, causing her to have official employment outside the British Monarchy.
