Jack Brooksbank and Princess Eugenie tied the knot in 2018.
British Royals will welcome a new member to their family next year. Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank announced over the weekend that they are expecting.
The official announcement from the palace included very little information about the royal’s pregnancy. It remains unknown how far long the Princess is right now, and if they are expecting a boy or a girl.
Despite this, royal fans and watchers have now started to place “bets” for the name that the couple will give to their firstborn. Cheat Sheet then listed all the possible names of the soon-to-be member of the British Royal Family.
Princess Eugenie might choose a regal name
It is not unusual for royals to choose regal names. Most of the members of the British Royal Family carry the names of previous Kings and Queens of the monarchy.
Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, alone, are named after their predecessors. The publication revealed that Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, named their firstborn after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s youngest child, Beatrice.
As for the youngest York Princess, her name came from Queen Victoria’s other daughter, Victoria Eugenie. Accordingly, there is reportedly a huge possibility that they will name their child after a late British Royal.

Regal names for girls and boys
Sources from the Daily Express reported that if Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank welcome a baby girl, the possible regal names available are Victoria, Alice, Grace, Helena, or Arabella. The couple may also choose Beatrice as a nod to the Princess’s sister.
Reports then asserted that they would probably include the name of Elizabeth as the baby’s middle name. It would be a lovely “tribute” for the British Monarch.
For a boy, the couple may prefer Arthur or Edward. Sources noted that these names have the most “bets” among bookies. But while there are “strong possibilities” for them to use regal names, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank may also choose to use a more “left-field” royal name.
Will the newborn receive a royal title?
Aside from the possible name of the couple’s firstborn, there are also talks about the royal title that the baby would receive. Royal historian Carolyn Harris told Town & Country that the new addition to the next British Royal Family would not inherit royal honors or peerages from his parents.
The baby will only have a royal title when Queen Elizabeth offers Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, as what she did to Princess Anne. The latter, however, refused her mother’s offer.
