Prison Break’s Sara Callies, Dominic Purcell, and Wentworth Miller reveal updates about the show’s potential return for season 6.
Fox American thriller action series Prison Break has grown in popularity since its premiere in 2005. In a span of 4 years, it has proved its imminent success in the entertainment industry after being acclaimed by critics and fans alike. Moreover, the show has even garnered more hype after it was revived for a fifth season in 2017.
Since then, fans have been highly anticipating the return of the well-beloved series for a sixth season. However, talks of the show’s sixth run have been up and down ever since. Fortunately, some of the Prison Break stars have been kind about giving updates about the series’ sixth run.
Sara Callies’ Instagram post hints details about Prison Break’s season 6
Sara Wayne Callies, who plays Sarah Scofield in Prison Break, has teased details regarding the show’s season 6. On her official Instagram account, the actress posted an intriguing photo that clues off a major storyline for the forthcoming installment.
The image featured her character Sara with her husband Michael Scofield, played by Wentworth Miller, alongside a newborn baby. The actress captioned the post with,
“Happy Sunday.”
Although it’s not clear what the picture could mean for the show’s future, it has definitely intrigued audiences.

Dominic Purcell often gives updates on season 6
Nevertheless, the hints were not started by Sarah. This is because Dominic Purcell, who plays Lincoln Burrows, has previously unveiled specifics about the highly-anticipated season. Last year, Purcell posted an Instagram photo of his character with a promising caption that reads,
“It’s pointed in the right direction. We are simply putting the moving pieces together. It’s a long process. So chill. #PrisonBreak6”
Moreover, in another Instagram post early this year, he admitted that the current coronavirus situation was opening a steely resolve in him to get it made. Posting some clips of the series, Purcell further assured fans that the team has come to an agreement. He said,
“What I can promise is this. We are all in agreement that if the story is worthy it will get made.”
The 50-year old actor seems to have a bigger heart than other Prison Break stars for often giving updates on Season 6. Recently, Purcell wrote that Amaury Nolasco is the only one who knows what’s going on with the sixth season. Nolasco is portraying Fernando Sucre in the series. Furthermore, he encouraged the fans to hit Nolasco up.

Season 6 is unlikely to drop in 2020
Unfortunately, even if Prison Break season 6 is possibly in the works, fans will not witness it soon. Wentworth Miller, star of the FOX crime drama, says that as far as he knows, a sixth season of the show is unlikely to come out in 2020.
He explained to the show’s devotees how long it will take to produce and edit a TV show. Because of this, he doesn’t expect a new season will come out this year.
