A gaming news outlet recently spotted that ESRB has rated Oddworld Soulstorm for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. ESRB stands for Entertainment Software Rating Board.
Speaking of the news then, it now looks certain that Oddworld Soulstorm will soon arrive on Microsoft’s platforms.
Oddworld Inhabitants developed and published the game two months ago. Initially, it came out for PS5, PC, and PC through Epic Games Store. At the time of launch, it was free for PS5 PS Plus subscribers in April.
The title is described as a total reboot of Abe’s Exoddus, the 1998 sequel to Abe’s Odyssey. The latter received a poor critical reaction since it was developed in less than a year.
Speaking technically, then Oddworld Soulstorm is the direct sequel to 2014’s Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty!. Protagonist Aby returns as the main character with an objective. And it is to save his fellow Mudokons from slave labor and brutal Glukkons’ exploitation.
Upon its release in April, the 2.5D side-scrolling title also gained mixed reviews from top critics. On Metacritic, currently, it has a score of 66, as of this writing.
It will be interesting to see how it makes its landing on the Xbox platforms whenever it comes out.

Meanwhile, there are many other exciting, fresh releases scheduled to make their way in this calendar.
However, the line-up extends even further with the likes of GhostWire: Tokyo, Humankind, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Back 4 Blood, New World, No More Heroes 3, Shadow Warrior 3, and Cyber Shadow are other crucial launches.
Several recently announced projects making a debut soon are The Day Before, Glitchpunk, and Etched Memories. The latter will be quite an interesting title for the players because it will feature a Cat as the main protagonist, Biscuit.
Coming back to Oddworld Soulstorm, again, it’s currently available for PS5 and PC.
