April is coming to a close, and it’s just about time for players to get a glimpse of what the PS Plus Free Games are for May. For next month, it seems like fans are getting two relaxing titles to keep them company during the quarantine.
The two new PS Plus Free Games are Cities Skylines and Farming Simulator 2019, originally priced at $39.99 each. These games will be free for PS Plus subscribers beginning on May 5 up until June 1. Here’s why players should download these titles as soon as possible.
‘Cities: Skylines’
Built by developer Colossal Order, Cities: Skylines is a city-building game that harks back to the early days of SimCity. While it does take inspiration from this title, Cities: Skylines does enough to set itself apart from other city builders, making it a must-have for fans of the genre.
In the game, players start off with a small plot of land, which they will eventually develop into a mega-city. They’ll first start off with creating small establishments. Eventually, they’ll be able to create skyscrapers as well. What’s unique about the game is that it features a robust transportation system.
Players are also tasked with creating roads and transport routes for their city. This new feature adds a depth of gameplay as players will have to plan their cities through and through.
Despite its gameplay and complex mechanics, Cities: Skylines is a pretty great game to play during this quarantine as it can bring out the imaginative side of players. It’s the perfect addition to PS Plus Free Games for May.
‘Farming Simulator 2019’
From city-building simulator, we are moving to Farming Simulator 2019. As the name suggests, it’s a farming sim. It might be a simple concept, but it’s the best of its kind as it delivers what it promises.
It’s currently the latest game in the franchise, and there’s a new one releasing at the end of May. Farming Simulator 2019 features realistic graphics and some features new to the franchise. Those features are horse farming and new crops like oats and cotton.
It’s a relaxing game that allows players to do what they usually can’t do, especially now that they’re stuck at home. Whether fans want to relax or they want to learn more about farming, this title will suit them very well.
These are the PS Plus Free Games for the month. While not impressive for some, these titles are sure to have players that will enjoy them.
