The PlayStation 5 is coming later this year, and the gaming community is excited for the next generation of gaming. The console itself is great, but what good will it be without PS5 games to accompany its launch?
Sony recently teased that they will begin showcasing the PS5 games launch lineup soon. Microsoft already revealed their titles earlier this month, and soon, it will be Sony’s turn. There are already some confirmed titles for the PS5, but what about those unrevealed games? Here are some possible launch titles for the PS5.
Cyberpunk 2077 will launch this September for PCs, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Seeing that the game is so close to the launch of the next generation of consoles, there’s a good chance that CD Projekt Red will eventually launch the game for the PS5 as well. It might even be a launch title at that.
The developer has already teased that Cyberpunk 2077 on the PS5 is a possibility, and we might not have to wait long for the reveal.
Call of Duty 2020
The next Call of Duty will be developed by Treyarch with the help of Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. The Call of Duty games launches at around October or November typically, which is during or at least a few weeks ahead of the PS5’s anticipated release during the holidays.
That being said, the next Call of Duty being revealed as one of the initial PS5 games sounds very plausible.
Warframe is an underrated free-to-play title for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Despite being as unpopular as other free-to-play titles, the game does have a strong player base around it. It shouldn’t be surprising to see the game launch immediately on the PS5 after it’s launched. As it’s free, players can immediately get in on the game as early as possible.
Since being revealed last year, not much has been heard about Overwatch 2 yet. As the follow-up to the wildly popular shooter, it’s possible that the next game is already being made for both current and future consoles. Seeing as BlizzCon is already set for later this year, Blizzard might reveal Overwatch 2 for the PS5 immediately.
Fans are undoubtedly excited to see the launch lineup of PS5 games. Hopefully, Sony does reveal the games soon as fans are already on edge about the next generation of gaming. The possibilities are endless at this point, so there could be big surprises at the reveal.
