The upcoming sequel from Double Fine, Psychonauts 2, will also arrive on PS4. So all the players who don’t have PS5 should not worry now.
Psychonauts 2 won’t be releasing as an Xbox exclusive only, which is an excellent thing for old console owners. Especially those who still use the PS4.
‘Psychonauts 2’ early release details
Although Microsoft hasn’t officially confirmed the launch for PS4, it is now almost sure that the game won’t be an Xbox exclusive.
Developer Double Fine, now owned by Team in Green, began working on the sequel several years ago. It implies that they can’t rule out a PS4 release in any case.
Moreover, PS5 owners can also enjoy Psychonauts 2 with the help of backward compatibility.
Furthermore, the pre-orders for PS Store will start rolling out soon.
In a recent post, the developer mentioned how excited they are to share the second installment when it comes out in August.
“Two months! It’s going to kick a lot of butts!”
Before the launch of Psychonauts 2, Double Fine will also share details on the characters, their powers, and the story.
“Heck, we’ll even be able to do small things like share more screenshots and hopefully share more tech details on each version of the game once we’re able.”
Talking about the game then the second entry will involve a third-person perspective, just like its predecessor. Players will control the character of Raz, a newly graduated Psychonaut. He has many psychic abilities that help in entering others’ minds.
All in all, players will use “Psi-Powers” like telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and levitation.
