Qualcomm has just announced the latest edition of its 7-series chipsets. The latest one, by the name “Snapdragon 750G,” is all set to replace the previous-gen Snapdragon 730G.
Aside from the fact that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G hails a 5G chipset, the newest Snapdragon 765G will also be under the same function. Users can expect better AI and gaming performance as compared to the Snapdragon 730G.
Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 765G chipset earlier this year, and it has already made its way to OnePlus Nord, Vivo, Realme, and Nokia.
The smartphones’ price range with the Snapdragon 765G SoC is mid-range, varying from USD 300 to USD 400.
But with the Snapdragon 750G, Qualcomm will be targeting the budget segment of devices and hope to bring 5G capabilities to low-quality phones.
Snapdragon 750G: Specifications
According to The Verge, Snapdragon 750G is effectively a modernized version of the 730G chipset. It packs a new Adreno 619 GPU that offers 10% better graphics than Snapdragon 730G’s Adreno 618.
The CPU department, the Snapdragon 750G’s updated Kryo 570, now offers a 20% performance improvement over the Snapdragon 730G’s Kryo 470.
In heels for other chipsets launched this year by Qualcomm, Snapdragon 750G focuses mostly on the AI capabilities.
According to the brand’s official announcement, the Snapdragon 750G offers a 20% increase in its AI performance for voice translation and camera optimization features.
The addition of the new AI features means a better echo cancellation and background noise suppression during calls.
The Snapdragon 750G has unique gaming features like Game Color Plus Mode to make the colors seem more relaxed and refined than the previous generation chipsets.
Snapdragon 750G: Availability
The new Snapdragon 750G does not seem to cross its swords with the higher 7-series chipsets models like Snapdragon 765/765G/768G.
However, likely, the top 7-series chipsets will start receiving updates in the coming months.
By effectively making a 5G replacement for the Snapdragon 730G, which powered many budget phones in 2019 and 2020, Qualcomm has tried to bring 5G to the budget segment, which is a vast advantage to the users.
Furthermore, the brans confirmed that Snapdragon 750G-packed devices would be launched later this year.
For the time being, Samsung A42 5G has been spotted on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 750G, according to a report by Gadgets 360. A handful of findings says that smartphone from other brands will now start adapting the new feature.
