Queen Elizabeth II allegedly banned Meghan Markle from the royal grounds for life due to Finding Freedom.
Queen Elizabeth II has maintained a good relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex even after Megxit. However, a tabloid claimed last year that Her Majesty decided to ban Meghan Markle over their biography entitled Finding Freedom. Read more to know the truth.
Queen Elizabeth ordered Meghan’s ban rumor
Her Majesty allegedly ordered that Meghan Markle be banned from the royal grounds for life, National Enquirer reported. The outlet quoted an unnamed insider claiming that the Queen ordered a video conference and bluntly told the Duchess of Sussex, “You are not family.”
The monarch was allegedly furious over the Sussexes’ biography Finding Freedom. Multiple outlets claimed that it was written with Prince Harry and Markle’s blessings.
What’s the truth?
The story about Meghan Markle being banned was among the hit pieces in the wake of the release of Finding Freedom. It was as if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote the book themselves.
Multiple outlets claimed that the royal couple was involved in the book. However, Prince Harry and Markle have denied those claims.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to Finding Freedom,” they said in a statement per BBC. “This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting”
Gossip Cop also debunked the report saying Meghan Markle would inevitably return to the U.K. She was not able to accompany her husband on his last two trips to Europe for a reason.
When Prince Harry flew home for Prince Philip’s funeral, Markle was heavily pregnant with their second child. Doctors advised Markle to stay at home and the royal couple decided that it was what was best for her. They strictly followed the advice especially because she suffered a miscarriage last year.
The duchess also did not join Prince Harry last June for the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue because she just gave birth to baby Lili. The duke returned to the U.K. end of June and Markle gave birth to their daughter earlier that month.
Both Prince Harry and Markle have nothing but kind words to say when it comes to their relationship with Her Majesty. During the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, the duke said he has spoken to the Queen more last year. He also said they have a “really good relationship” and he has a deep respect for her.
With Prince Harry and the Queen’s relationship, it’s unlikely that the latter would ban his wife.
