Queen Elizabeth II allegedly scolded Meghan Markle over the rumored tantrum she had ahead of her royal wedding in 2018, according to a book.
Queen Elizabeth II has been very supportive and understanding to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. However, according to Andrew Morton, Her Majesty scolded Markle.
Queen allegedly scolded Meghan
Morton added six new chapters in his book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess. In the publication, Morton discussed about Markle’s alleged “tiara tantrum” shortly before her big day.
The incident reportedly happened just days after Prince Harry and Markle returned from their tour Down Under. At the time, The Times reported that the bride-to-be had thrown a tantrum over her tiara because the one she wanted was not available.
“Her prima-donna behaviour apparently earned a rebuke from the Queen herself,” Morton wrote as per Express. “The Queen then told Harry, ‘she gets what tiara she’s given by me.”
He added that Prince Harry was furius when Markle didn’t get what she wanted. The incident allegedly involved Queen Elizabeth II’s dresser Angela Kelly.
Kelly was reportedly the guardian of the Queen’s jewelry. She allegedly informed the irate groom-to-be, Prince Harry, that they had to adhere to certain protocols to access the tiara. However, Prince Harry allegedly protested and said, “what Megan wants, Meghan gets.”
Morton also alleged that Prince William’s “bullying” attitude drove the Sussexes out. However, both princes denied it in their joint statement.
Meghan and Harry’s UK return rumors
Meanwhile, there are various rumors about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s return to the U.K. Royal expert Katie Nicholl believed that the royal couple may take their kids to England over Christmas.
The royal family hasn’t met their youngest child, baby Lili, yet. Nicholl was convinced that the holidays would be a perfect event for their reunion.
Also, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven’t given up their home in Britain. They have been renting the Frogmore Cottage where Princess Eugenie and her family have been staying.
Nicholl said a Christmas reunion would be a great opportunity for them to soften each other. And that might pave the way for their healing.
Meanwhile, another royal expert claimed that the Sussexes are planning to have baby Lili’s christening at the U.K. However, Prince William allegedly disapproved of the plan.
Royal commentator Robert Jobson told Us Weekly that the duchess has no plans to fly to Prince Harry’s home country anytime soon. According to him, the Duchess of Sussex is not popular there right now.
