The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 4 could be the last time viewers will see Rachel Brosnahan on the show. Reports say that Brosnahan wants to concentrate on Broadway theater work for a year.
Brosnahan plays Miriam “Midge” Maisel on the Amazon Prime Video comedy. She discovers her talent and passion for stand-up comedy when her husband leaves her. She eventually pursues a career in the field despite how antagonistic 1960s New York is to female comics.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel became the breakthrough project for Rachel Brosnahan. Since the comedy series debuted on Amazon Prime Video, she has won multiple acting awards. Her accolades included two Golden Globes and an Emmy.
Rachel Brosnahan recently explored working on a different TV show. She starred on an episode of the horror anthology series 50 States of Fright on the new streaming service Quibi.
The show highlights horror stories from each of the 50 states of the United States of America. According to a report, Brosnahan appeared in the episode called The Golden Arm. In the episode, her character finds out that she has “pulmonary gold disease” because of the titular golden arm.
Despite the lukewarm reception to the third season, Amazon Prime Video renewed The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The fourth season is reportedly already in the pre-production phase.
In the third season, Shy (Leroy McClain) dropped Midge from the tour when she almost outed him in his hometown. On the other hand, Joel (Michael Zegen) took over the management of Midge’s finances.
There is no confirmation yet as to which of the cast members will return. Brosnahan previously said the cast had no idea what the plot of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 4 will be.
Also, the announced release date for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 4 remains in the dark. There is a possibility that the show will not return for its usual December release because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, a New Orleans-based writer sued Amazon Prime Video because of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Jodi Parmley alleged that the show stole elements from a 2014 book she published.
The author argues that the storyline of Maisel’s separation from her husband was lifted from her book. Reports say that Parmley seeks a portion of the streaming service’s profit from the series. Viewers should check out Amazon Prime Video for more upcoming updates about The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 4.
