The community director, James Stevenson, in his recent tweet, said that the upcoming title would shrink further on PS5.
It implies that players won’t have to worry about storage consumption, which is a good thing since most of the new AAA releases these days take up a big chunk of PS5’s capacity.
Lately, almost all the games coming out tend to grow bigger in their entirety. And that’s why despite the vast storage options, the consoles end up struggling in terms of holding them all.
But this will change for the good with Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart as its primary size is “33GB of deliciousness”. James Stevenson mentioned this in his recent tweet.
The previously shared size was 42.183 GB.
Furthermore, Stevenson also revealed that most of the PS5 exclusives would get smaller in the future. It is now possible due to the incredible compression techniques and increased SSD usage.
Spider-Man backed up his assurance: Miles Morales on PS5 is 25% smaller than the PS4 version.
Thus, fans can also expect Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart to have a decreased size.
It’s just days away now from its official arrival.
