Launched in the Indonesian market, the Realme C12 is touted as the more affordable variant of Realme’s C series of smartphones.
The Realme C12 has finally gone official, weeks after the device became a subject of leaks and speculations in the rumor mill. Deemed as one of the more affordable variants of Realme’s C lineup, the newest phone mostly shares of its key specifications with the Realme C15.
Realme C12: 6.5-inch IPS LCD with waterdrop notch, rear triple cameras
Realme’s latest budget-friendly smartphone is built around a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen, with a resolution of 720 x 1,560 pixels. The phone’s display also features a waterdrop notch, which houses a selfie snapper.
Around the back of the device is a triple-camera setup, enveloped in a square-like module. The system is headlined by a 13-megapixel camera, with f/2.2 aperture and support for PDAF. Its auxiliary sensors include a 2MP B/W module with f/2.4 aperture and another 2MP shooter.
In contrast, the Realme C15 boasts quadruple cameras on its rear, with the same 13MP sensor headlining the system. It has three supporting sensors, though, consisting of 8MP ultrawide, and two 2MP B/W and retro modules.
Meanwhile, the front-facing camera of the device features a 5MP sensor. This is another downgrade from the Realme C15’s 8MP offering.

Capable internals with the Helio G35 at the helm
Under the proverbial hood, the Realme C12 is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G35 system on a chip, featuring PowerVR GE8320 for its GPU needs. The phone is then coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage; the latter can be expanded via its microSD card slot.
Easily the highlight of the newest Realme smartphone is its massive 6,000mAh battery. But to spoil that for you, Realme decided to equip the handset with a conventional albeit slower 10W charging capability. It also charges via a dated Micro USB port.
Still, the Realme C12 manages to retain its useful reverse charging feature via cable.
On the other hand, the software front of the Realme C12 is front-lined by Realme UI, based on the latest Android 10.
Pricing and availability
The Realme C12 features a price tag of IDR 1,899,000 for its sole 3GB/32GB trim. The phone can be available through a limited flash sale, with its price down to IDR 1,749,000. The phone is scheduled to go on sale on August 16.
Realme still has to reveal its plans on the Realme C12’s availability in other regions.
