The Realme X3 also offers a 64MP-headlining quad-camera setup on its rear.
A month after the X3 SuperZoom was debuted to the wild, Realme didn’t dilly-dally and finally announced the much-awaited X3. Unveiled at an event in India, Realme’s newest flagship entry has great internals and cameras to boot.
No SuperZoom here
The Realme X3 is essentially the same with the SuperZoom edition, with the exception of course of its camera offerings. The X3 lacks the noted periscope module that is found on the SuperZoom and is equipped with a 12MP telephoto camera instead.
Another difference between the two can be gleaned from their selfie camera configurations. For instance, the Realme X3 sports a 16MP primary shooter, alongside an 8MP ultrawide shooter – all housed in a similar pill-shaped cutout. The SuperZoom version, on the other hand, features 32MP wide and 8MP ultrawide sensors placed in its pill-shaped cutout as well.
LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate
The rest of the features of the Realme X3 is practically identical with that of the SuperZoom edition. The phone is built around a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen, with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. Its display also sports Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and a 120Hz refresh rate; the former can also be found on its rear.
The Realme X3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ chipset, with 6GB/8GB of RAM options and 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The phone is also listed with a 4,200mAh battery capacity, with support for 30W fast wired charging.
On its rear, the phone’s quad-camera system is headlined by a 64MP wide camera. It is then accompanied by a 12MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. The system also comes with an LED flash and is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30/60fps.
Other features, pricing
Other key features of the Realme X3 include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C. The phone boots Android 10.0 with Realme UI on top.
The Realme X3 retails in blue and white color variants. The phone’s pricing starts at INR 24,999 for its 6GB/128GB variant. The top-tier 8GB/128GB edition, on the other hand, is priced at INR 25,999.
The aforementioned variants of the smartphone are scheduled to go on sale on June 30 through Realme’s web store. Alternatively, the phone can be availed via Flipkart shortly after.
Flipkart is now taking preorders of the Realme X3 at the time of this writing.
