Realme X50m 5G with Snapdragon 765G chip and 120Hz display announced


The latest mid-range smartphone from Realme is a cheaper X50 with modern hardware and display specs.

Realme has announced the X50m 5G. Unveiled in China, the newest smartphone from the budding phone company serves as the third model in the company’s X50 lineup, following the Realme X50 5G and X50 Pro 5G.

The Realme X50m 5G is likewise dubbed as the entry point in the X50 series. As it is, the phone costs less than the vanilla X50 5G and Pro variant.

120Hz display in a budget

The Realme X50m 5G is not only noted for its modern display offerings. Apart from employing the current display with a pill-shaped cutout, the handset is also famed for being one of the cheapest in its class to feature a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is built around on a 6.57-inch IPS LCD display, with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels.

Around its back, the Realme X50m 5G features a traditional quadruple-camera setup. Its sensors are all arranged vertically.

Snapdragon 765G chip

Powering the Realme X50m is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G chipset, which indicates that the phone is 5G-capable. The handset is then coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM tiers with a non-expandable 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.

The Realme X50m also features a massive 4,200mAh battery capacity, with support for 30W fast wired charging. On paper, this juices up the battery to up to 70% capacity for only 30 minutes.

Rear quad-cams with a macro sensor

The Realme X50m 5G comes with a complete quadruple-camera system on its rear. The setup comprises a 48MP wide camera as its primary sensor, which gets accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Inside the Realme X50m 5G’s display punch-hole is a dual-camera setup, consisting of 16MP wide and 2MP depth sensors.

Other key features

The Realme X50m 5G runs on Realme UI, based on the latest Android 10.0. Some of its other vital specifications include Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and USB Type-C. The phone isn’t equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Still, the device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader.


The base variant of the Realme X50m 5G carries a price tag of CNY 1,999, while its 8GB/128GB trim is priced at CNY 2,299. It will retail in Starry Blue and Galaxy White color variants when it starts shipping on April 29.

There is no word yet in terms of the availability of the Realme X50m 5G in other markets
