Netflix has officially given Record of Ragnarok Season 2 a go-signal, confirming the return of the gods vs. humans’ battles on the small screen.
Despite the negative reviews the first season received, it looks like fans will still give Record of Ragnarok Season 2 a chance. Will it finally live up to the success of Shinya Umemura’s manga?
Record of Ragnarok Renewal
Netflix has now renewed Record of Ragnarok after the franchise’s website announced the news.
“This time, in response to the great response from all over the world, the production of the second phase of animation has been decided!” it reads. “The continuation of the hot fight will be drawn as an animation again.”
The update comes with a special sketch made by the anime’s character designer himself, Masaki Sato.
So far, there are no details about the upcoming Record of Ragnarok Season 2 yet. However, as part of the announcement, the first season is said to be hitting the TV screens in Japan this October again.
According to Comicbook, this is to keep fans’ interest in the show.

New Season’s Possible Plot and More
Despite the critics’ criticism about the first season’s animation, its finale still makes fans ask for more.
It all ended even before the fourth battle began but gave a glimpse of the next fighter that surprised many.
Epic Dope noted the notorious serial killer Jack the Ripper would fight for humanity. This time, he would be facing the Roman Hercules.
Hercules has been known for his incredible strength and a number of feats and achievements. Compared to Jack the Ripper, the latter has only become popular for the crimes that he committed.
Hercules will do his best to avenge the death of Poseidon and the defeat of other gods.
When their battle begins, fans can expect it to be different, if not epic. So, who do you think will win between the two?
After the first season featured three intense fights between the human heroes and the gods, the second season might follow suit.
In the manga, after Hercules and Jack the Ripper’s fight, it will next feature the battle between the greatest sumo wrestler in history, Raiden Tameemon, and the Hindu god of destruction, Shiva.
The Japanese god of misfortune Zerofuku and Buddha will take center stage for the final battle, Screenrant noted.
So far, there are no words yet when Record of Ragnarok Season 2 will be out.
