Redmi 10X: Redmi’s next budget phone to go extra on RAM and ROM offerings

The Redmi 10X, which is tipped to launch in 4G and 5G variants, is heading to be unveiled with a Pro model as well.

While everyone’s buzzing over the Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro’s upcoming top-of-the-line features, Redmi is also on all fours gearing up its next budget-friendly smartphones, which include the Redmi 10X.

A few key Redmi 10X specifications have now been added to the mix, furthering the traction that was gained by the hotly-anticipated smartphone as of late. The latest to emerge from the rumor mill is outed by serial tipster Ishan Agarwal.

Redmi 10X 5G with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage

According to Agarwal, the phone is slated to arrive with 4G and 5G variants. The 4G edition will purportedly comprise of 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB configurations. It will also launch with three color paints – Sky Blue, Green, and White.

On the other hand, the 5G version of the device will debut with even more flexible options in terms of RAM and ROM configurations. These include 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB editions.

If these ever pan out, then the Redmi 10X will be the first to come out of an entry-level lineup to sport a massive RAM and ROM configurations, right at 8GB and 256GB.

Meanwhile, the Redmi phone will come in four color variants – Silver, Dark Blue, Gold, and Violet.

Other key features

The Redmi 10X also showed up on a Chinese e-commerce site previously, bearing some vital specifications in tow. Some of the crucial features mentioned in the listing are its 6.53-inch punch-hole display, a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels, and a rear quad-cam setup.

The listing also mentioned a 13MP front-facing snapper, alongside a massive 5,020mAh battery. Interestingly, the listing also corroborated the aforementioned 6GB and 128GB of RAM and storage features.

Before its visit on the website, the Redmi 10X was also spotted in a listing on Google Play Console. It revealed that MediaTek’s Helio G70 chipset would power the phone. It was also shown that the phone would be shipped with the latest Android 10 out of the box. A Geekbench listing also reiterated these very features.

Apart from these, the Redmi 10X is also en route to being equipped with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi is still mum on the pricing and availability of the Redmi 10X. But with these recent listings, we’re more than sure that its announcement is just around the corner. A Pro model of the said phone is also said to be on the horizon.
