Former Nintendo boss and now a multi-company board of directors’ member, Reggie Fils-Aime, is adding another title to his portfolio as he sets himself another B of D role in Brunswick.
Known in the industry for his quirky ad appearances, Reggie Fils-Aime appears to be living a good life after his chapter at Nintendo closes. While many would see themselves retiring after a successful career, Reggie instead chose to remain in business. Even going so far as to fulfill a single and similar role for various businesses—putting himself at the top level of the trade.
On the roll in 2020
In March 2020, Reggie joined GameStop and became one of its board of directors. Two months later, he started a podcast. Although not for himself, but for charity. In that same month, he hooked up to become, yet again, a board director but for toy-maker, Spin Master.
If being an exec at two different companies is not good enough, Reggie is pushing the envelope of his career by becoming a board of director (again). This time, for Sea Ray boat and Mercury Marine-fame, boating company, Brunswick.
Announcing his accomplishment, Fils-Aime posted a tweet proclaiming his position in the new company.
Combining my love for the sea and my passion for helping companies grow: “Brunswick Corporation, maker of @SeaRayBoat and @MercuryMarine engines elects Reggie Fils-Aimé to its Board of Directors.”https://t.co/IOEkAGt6wv pic.twitter.com/mvQCTDO6aJ

Built for running businesses
With an experience that draws back many years, Reggie Fils-Aime is indeed a person who built a name for himself. Prior to his appointment as a Nintendo executive, he already had the right exposure in being in a few businesses. Brands like VH1, Pizza Hut, and Procter and Gamble being the enterprises he played a role at on the executive level.
It only comes without surprise how the now-multi-company executive is put in high regard at Brunswick. Much to the company’s chairman of the board leaving a positive word over Reggie.
“As a highly respected and seasoned executive, Reggie’s experience in consumer-facing initiatives and digital technology will make him a valued addition to our strong and experienced board of directors. We look forward to benefiting from Reggie’s expertise as we continue to develop deeper relationships with our customers.”
But more than just being equipped with the right experience, Reggie Fils-Aime’s appeal seems to draw from something else. That is, his ability to “revitalize” brands and “shape” businesses. The kind that can keep an enterprise afloat and even innovate when needed. Which are indeed credentials that any company would want to take the helm for in the leadership position.
