The first feature-length movie of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Mugen Train, has finally hit Japan’s big screens.
Fans widely accepted the movie as theaters have been flooded with moviegoers. The anime creator, Koyoharu Gotouge, praised Kyojuro Rengoku in a special message to fans who watched the film.
Koyoharu Gotouge returned to the series as part of the film’s lead, adapting the original series’s Mugen Train arc.
The creator’s return was to quench the thirst of the fans regarding their favorite characters. Gotouge created a prequel chapter about Flame Hashira and Rengoku, set before the film’s event.
For fans outside of Japan, the said special release is online. However, the fans who witnessed the movie in theaters received a physical copy of the story. The document includes the author’s unique message.

The creator’s message for fans
As spotted by @YourAnimeGuy on Twitter, Gotouge had the following message for fans. It is with the accompanying Rengoku prequel story.
The creator kicked-off his message thanking the die-hard fans for witnessing the premiere of the movie.
Also, he extended his gratitude for the continuous support received by the film’s current run in Theaters. He said that he made a complete story with Rengoku as a leading role due to fans’ demand.
Gotouge considers the character Rengoku as a good kid like the main character. That even in his suffering, he never complained and always cared for his family.
This clearly shows Rengoku’s positivity. “Everyone, please take care of your family and the people around you who support you like Rengoku,” he added.
Restrictions lifted in Japan
Currently, the restrictions of COVID-19 in Japan were lifted to meet the massive demand. And with the good news, fans have raced into theaters hoping to get tickets for the showing.
The movie of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Mugen Train, has already been breaking all sorts of box office records in Japan.
The film will break more records as expected as it begins making its way outside of Japan next year.
Meanwhile, Funimation and Aniplex of America confirmed their plan to release the film in theaters in North America early next year.
