A fan-made canyon remake of Resident Evil happens in Far Cry 5.
You can now enjoy one of the most memorable moments of the game, with gorgeous graphics and no crashes.
It’s not just Resident Evil 4 getting its due in Far Cry 5. The game also has a smattering of other level remakes, including some that were locked down or removed from the original title. Now, players can experience the memorable “Canyon” level-the first game setting you see on your journey to Montana-again with exciting new effects and without any hiccups.
This is part of Ubisoft’s efforts to make sure their games run smoothly, even on older hardware.
This week’s patch includes a new menu option that lets players toggle the enhanced visual effects on and off. There were even hints given to us by Redditors that the remakes made the game run much smoother. It seems that this was intentional, as well as a coincidence.
“The OFL was too tall for this area, so it wasn’t really meant doable. The AI are also clipped by the fence, but they are still able to reach you.”
Can players enjoy the remake of the game in this series?
Players can also experience the remake of the second setting-a large village-in the game, as well as other areas. “Another level that was remade is a level in Mt. Montana provided by Ubisoft Blue Byte called ‘General Store’ which has been included in Fary Cry 5 as well. It’s used in a side mission called ‘Meet the Gunsmith.’ 10/10 would recommend,” one Redditor said.
There is another level remake in Far Cry 5 that is very memorable, though: Resident Evil 4’s canyon level. As mentioned in the RCP video by Redfield and used in all of his tutorials, this location was never finished and only accessible to players through third-party mods or standalone fan games.
Now, it has been included in Far Cry 5 and has new effects that make it just as exciting to visit as it was when players first discovered it in Resident Evil 4.
Are there new options with the gameplay?
With the new menu option, players can also toggle the enhanced visual effects on and off. The visuals make it look much better, but doing so is not necessary in order to enjoy the remakes. With this new menu option, players can choose when to use it if they want to enjoy a more authentic experience in Far Cry 5 or toggle it off if they don’t want their games to look any prettier than a PS2 title.
There was even a hint given to us by Redditors that the remakes made the game run much smoother. It seems that this was intentional, as well as a coincidence. “I get less crashes in general since it’s been released,” one Redditor said. “As soon as I disable the Canyon level from being loaded from the menu, I get far more frequent crashes to desktop.”
