Capcom has issued a warning to all the people who got news regarding the early access invitations of Resident Evil Village.
Japanese developer and publisher Capcom has clarified that Resident Evil Village’s early access invitations are fake. And that players need to ignore them completely.
The game is yet to launch officially in the next two months.
‘Resident Evil Village’: Everything you need to know
Issuing a note to the press, Capcom said it recently noticed circulations regarding its upcoming title’s early access invitations.
The publisher outright dismissed them.
“We want to inform you that these messages are NOT from Capcom and appear to be phishing attempts by an unauthorized third-party,” it said.
“If you have received such a message, please DO NOT download any files or reply, and delete the message immediately.”
A while ago, there was testing held regarding the beta version of Resident Evil Village. But it was mostly limited to a certain extent. Publicly it hasn’t been made available yet.
So, the news of early access must have made the fans excited for trying out the gameplay.
However, after Capcom’s clarification, there shouldn’t be any confusion among the fans and players, hopefully.
It’s always important to sort out any doubt or a problematic scenario, especially when it comes to such a crucial time before launching an anticipated game like Resident Evil Village.
New video games of 2021
Meanwhile, there are a lot of other heavyweights to try out this year. 2021 has just begun, after all!
Some of the most expected video games in the coming months will be Horizon Forbidden West, Far Cry 6, and Deathloop.
Other awaited titles are Halo Infinite, Back 4 Blood, God of War: Ragnarok, Monster Hunter Rise, and a new Call of Duty entry.
But that’s not it!
The line-up will extend with the likes of Returnal, Balan Wonderworld, Stray, STALKER 2, Bravely Default 2, and Psychonauts 2. Then there is Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Humankind, Cyber Shadow, Riders Republic, Biomutant, and Oddworld: Soulstorm.
Other future arrivals are No More Heroes 3, and It Takes Two, New World, Chorus, Outriders, The Ascent, Mundaun, and Loop Hero.
Several recently announced projects to launch soon include The Day Before, Glitchpunk, and Etched Memories. The latter will see a Cat playing the role of a protagonist named Biscuit. It will be interesting for players to try out this game when it eventually makes its way to stores.
Coming back to Resident Evil Village, again, it will release in the first week of May for PC, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
There will be an online multiplayer mode as well, called Resident Evil RE: Verse.
