It’s an excellent time for you if you are Capcom! The latest installment from the company, Resident Evil Village, is growing fast.
Capcom made it official on Tuesday, revealing that Resident Evil Village has already gone past 3 million global sales.
The eighth entry in the iconic horror franchise was released last week on May 7th.
‘Resident Evil Village’ impressing everyone.
Capcom announced that Resident Evil Village had shipped more than 3 million units worldwide in its latest press release. They have come from PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC sales.
The newest entry features the protagonist Ethan Winters (from RE7) once again. However, this time he’s on a quest to find his missing daughter, Rosemary.
But in his way, he faces a long list of horrifying and dangerous villains such as Lady Dimitrescu and her three daughters. They are Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela.
Dimitrescu’s brother Karl Heisenberg, Salvatore Moreau of Moreau’s Reservoir, and Donna Beneviento.
And on top of it, there is Mother Miranda herself!
Speaking of Resident Evil Village’s fantastic performance, it was only growing since the awaited launch last Friday.
Interestingly, the horror series has also completed 25 glorious years of the Resident Evil games this month. The very first title was released in 1996.
Looks like there’s a lot to celebrate about, at the moment, for Capcom.
RE8 has also fared well with critics and players combined.
On renowned portal Metacritic, it currently has a brilliant Metascore of 84. It’s based on 82 reviews so far at the time of writing.
