AMD just announced its latest RX 6700 XT GPU. Along with that, it also said that its cards would have ray tracing for Resident Evil Village.
While the ray tracing is just announced for AMD cards, it’s a great thing for players who will be going for Resident Evil Village. And it’s only for the PCs, to be precise.
The upcoming new entry in the horror gaming franchise will release next month.
Resident Evil Village to get scarier with ray tracing!
We've partnered with Capcom to utilize raytracing and AMD FidelityFX to enhance the atmosphere and next-generation visuals in Resident Evil Village. We can't wait to play #REVillage on May 7th. pic.twitter.com/VgSZiPlJvz

There’s a catch, however, with the news of AMD RX 6700 XT GPU. Because technically, to have ray tracing for Resident Evil Village, you will need the AMD RX 6800 XT.
So those who will go for the 6700 XT on PCs won’t have the latest trending feature.
And this information was issued by AMD itself in its recommended requirements for Resident Evil Village regarding ray tracing.
But when it comes to just playing the upcoming game, you will only need to have an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU. So, don’t worry about the gameplay requirements.
Back to what ray tracing will do to the new Capcom title, there will be huge improvements. Soft chandeliers and candle lighting will become detailed and even more impressive.
The texture of the wood will be extra shinier with the enhanced technology. Plus, the darker environments in the game will become full of life due to the added details.
But again, if you are one of those who don’t fancy substantial visual improvements, then it’s okay. For playing the game, you will need a minimum combination of Ryzen 5 1600 and RX 5700.
New video games of 2021
Meanwhile, this year is filled with multiple heavyweights. And in the coming months, there will be a lot of big releases for die-hard gamers.
Speaking of what’s new in 2021, then the line-up looks stellar with the likes of Resident Evil Village, God of War: Ragnarok, and Horizon Forbidden West. Other huge titles will be a new COD entry, Far Cry 6, Deathloop, Halo Infinite, Returnal, and STALKER 2.
But that’s not all!
The list gets extended further with Bravely Default 2, Stray, Gotham Knights, Chorus, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Monster Hunter Rise.
Psychonauts 2, GhostWire: Tokyo, Maquette, No More Heroes 3, Humankind, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Oddworld: Soulstorm, Solar Ash, and Cyber Shadow are few other anticipated arrivals.
Some recently announced titles will also make a debut later this year, namely The Day Before and Glitchpunk. While the former is a post-apocalyptic kind of adventure, the latter will remind you of CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077.
