Rick and Morty Season 4 finally answered a question that had been asked by a lot of fans for a long time. As it was revealed that Beth had a clone, this side of the story, reportedly, set up the stage for Rick and Morty Season 5.
The previous season featured a lot of characters from the past. It also put an end to the story of Phoenixperson. The stage is now open for the Rick, Morty, and the rest of the cast’s return with possible two Beths.
The surprising revelation that paves the way to Rick and Morty Season 5
The mystery about Beth’s clone started in Season 3. At the time, Rick offered to clone Beth so that she could go to an adventure in the cosmos while the other could remain at home.
Although it didn’t reveal where the real Beth went, she began to get paranoid about the idea of having a clone. When she asked Rick about it, he failed to address the question adequately. So, in the previous season finale, it was finally revealed there was a second “space hero” Beth.
The second Beth learned there was an implant in her neck, which made her believe that Rick didn’t want her back on Earth. She thought that the implant would explode if she ever went home. When she started asking if she was a clone, Rick was not sure who was the original.
According to Screen Rant, the Season 4 finale ended with the “revelations that there was no revelation at all.” The Smith family just accepted the situation and rejected Rick’s toxic behavior.
It also featured the return of Dr. Wong, which revealed that the family continued to see the family therapist. The two Beths also told him off, and Beth and Summer got excited about having two moms.
Hence, it just showed that there would be two Beths in Rick and Morty Season 5. Fans would also see a new dynamic between Rick and his now two daughters. Beth’s issues about her father, from abandonment to acceptance, may also change next season.

The return of Rick and Morty
Morty and Rick’s story will surely continue in Rick and Morty Season 5. The animated series’ creator, Justin Roiland, already teased fans about the show’s coming on Instagram, AutoFreak noted.
He, reportedly, held board and listed several ideas for Rick and Morty Season 5. It went from a ship that Morty bought to a log cabin Jerry made. There was also a planet powered by chips and salsa, When-wolf, and Bark-nado. Anyhow, Roiland just ended laughing at his own thoughts.
