Riverdale’s FP and Hermione, played by Skeet Ulrich and Marisol Nichols respectively, exiting the series’ alive hints of a possible return.
Riverdale is currently considered as one of the most beloved series in the entertainment industry. It continues to release perverse and enthralling melodramatic scenes despite being around for a long time.
Therefore, it’s unsurprising that the series’ has made fans thirst for more episodes featuring their favorite cast. Unfortunately, devotees of the show will not witness two of Riverdale’s notable cast for some time.
The CW has previously announced that Skeet Ulrich and Marisol Nichols will no longer appear for the show’s fifth installment. The stars play FP Jones and Hermione Lodge respectively.
Riverdale’s producer confirms possible return of FP and Hermione in the next seasons
Riverdale’s executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed that Skeet Ulrich and Marisol Nichols’ last appearance will not be in season 4. He suggested that the door would always be open for the characters to return.
Sacasa further stated,
“The truth of it is, and this isn’t a spoiler, but neither Hermione nor F.P. are being killed. They are a part of Riverdale in a real way as long as there’s a Riverdale.”
With this at hand, it seems that FP and Hermione ‘s effect on the town will still be felt in the coming years. Moreover, the key character’s survival hints of the chances of their guest spots in season five and beyond.

The real reason why the stars are leaving
Skeet Ulrich has previously revealed his reason for leaving the show temporarily. In an Instagram Live video with his partner Megan Blake Irwin, Ulrich openly announced,
“I’m leaving ‘Riverdale’ because I got bored creatively. How’s that? That’s the most honest answer.”
Meanwhile, Marisol Nichols has not disclosed any information about her leaving the show. However, the actress acknowledged that she had an incredible time bringing Hermione Lodge to life. Nichols further said,
“We had so many wonderful times together during the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.I am looking forward to the next chapter and am excited about the future.”

Producer teases major storyline for season 5
The producer has also revealed some major details regarding Riverdale’s fifth run. According to Sacasa, season 4 has not featured the teen’s prom and graduation because they were unable to complete it due to the pandemic.
However, the subsequent season will surely tackle the highly anticipated scene. Riverdale’s season 4 finale is now available for stream on Netflix.
“Prom and graduation, they’re big, emotional episodes, and there’s a lot of stuff with the characters that we’re still playing out. So it felt like maybe what we’ll do is start with the last three episodes.”
