The hype for the Asus ROG 3 just keeps on rising. Recent news claims that ROG Global accidentally confirmed the Asus ROG 3 chipset.
With competitive mobile games massively emerging as of late, gamers are looking for a reliant device to assure smooth gaming experience. This is why Asus ROG 3 is one of the highly anticipated mobile phone releases this 2020.
A Twitter slip-up reveals major details
There’s been a lot of online chatter about the Asus ROG 3 specifications. However, the most recent information update is coming from its makers themselves, as a Twitter slip-up revealed the gaming phone’s chipset.
Per Wccftech, there have been rumors about Qualcomm launching the Snapdragon 865 Plus this year, particularly this month of July. It looks like Asus ROG 3 will be the very first smartphone to sport this powerful chipset.
The Snapdragon 865 Plus confirmation comes from a Twitter teaser directly from the official ROG Global account. The tweet has since been deleted but the media caught it in time to quote it in the report, which says, “July 22nd is all about Speed and Power.#ROGPhone3 unleashes the latest Snapdragon 865 and delivers mind-blowing performance. Save the date!”
Obviously, this also confirms Asus ROG 3’s release which is only less than 14 days from now. Although the tweet has been deleted, the countdown timer website wasn’t. The countdown timer highlights the upcoming phone as the “game changer,” and this is most likely due to the fact that it’ll be the first to carry the Snapdragon 865 Plus.

Per Beebom, the tweet came with a GIF teaser of the 865+ 5G chipset engine logo, with a quote saying, “The most powerful gaming phone is coming.” Furthermore, this accidental reveal also confirms that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series will not be the first 865+ carrier, but the tech publication does report that it’ll come next month.
Release details
Asus ROG 3 is pretty much confirmed with all the specs—considering all to be true—already been revealed. As Micky News has previously reported the upcoming gaming phone will look very similar to its predecessor, except for the triple camera placed at the back.
For its supposed distribution, gaming enthusiasts in the United States and in the United Kingdom will be glad to know that Asus will likely distribute the gaming phone across the globe, despite the feared restraints due to the ongoing pandemic.
