‘Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition’ goes wild with new upgrades

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition is heading back to Nintendo Switch and PC this month. Furthermore, the new version is soaked with new upgrades.

The classic simulation game Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is the third installment from the Rollercoaster Tycoon series. Initially launched in 2004, players have enjoyed the gaming experience for 16 long years. Sadly, the game was pulled out from sale in 2018 after the developer and publisher made several accusations with each other, and eventually went to make legal actions.

Although the original game has not returned to the storefronts, developer Frontier is releasing a new version, packed with modern elements.  Frontier is also behind the release of Planet Coaster in 2016, Jurassic World Evolution in 2018, and Planet Zoo in 2019.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition features

In comparison to the classic game, the new version will have enhanced visuals. For PC players, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 will now feature widescreen support at 1080p resolution for the first time. On the other hand, Switch players will now have a new control scheme designed specifically for the console. On a side note, it will not feature a 4K resolution, in which other players are hoping to get.

A lot of expansions are also added in the game, which includes 300 coasters and rides, 500 scenery items, 60 shops, and other services, plus 20 creatures. The new expansion offers new waterparks and zoo attractions too. It even allows both Switch and PC players to destroy their amusement parks.  Furthermore, the game also highlights the Career and Campaign Modes.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 will feature a Sandbox Mode

It also features a Sandbox Mode that allows players to build parks without spending too much money. Nintendo has released a complete description of the Sandbox Mode. It said:

“If you prefer to let your imagination run wild and create your ideal park without money woes, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition has you covered with Sandbox Mode. With all the creative tools at their disposal, including all content from the Soaked! and Wild! expansion packs, players shall relish the added challenge of creating and managing exhilarating waterparks and spectacular animal habitats.”

The main scheme of the game is to build and manage the amusement parks. Players will manage the park’s finances, staff, and services. At the same time, players will have to improve the park to attract more customers consistently.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 release date

The anticipated new game version will release on Sept. 4, and it will be available on Steam and Epic Game Store, and Nintendo eShop.
