Aardman Animations is teaming up with Atari in order to make the collaboration a fruition between the two popular franchises.
Featuring the titular character and the rest of the gang, the crossover sees additional contents to the popular simulation franchise on mobile. In particular, a variety of Shaun the Sheep-inspired mounts, statues, as well as amusements.
Noteworthy of distinction are the eye-catching, gigantic Tower of Sheep and Lu-La’s Helter Skelter. For rides with a twist, there is the Baa-gherita ride and the Shaun the Sheep Farmhouse Coaster.
While it is all fun and games with the Shaun the Sheep theme park, it’s also about filling hungry tummies. The virtual way, at least, which gives a special highlight to the Shaun-based pizzeria.
Players who like to collect stuff will have something in the crossover to look forward to. Particularly, statues based after various Shaun the Sheep figures, which apart from himself, includes Bitzer, Farmer, and Timmy.
All the aforementioned new contents are accessible to players in two ways. Those who are wanting instant access can get them directly from the in-game store. However, those who are willing to put significant effort into attaining them could do in-game challenges instead.
Vice President of Marketing for Atari, Tony Chien, describes Shaun the Sheep as a “brand of global prestige.” But more importantly, it highlights the franchise for the “fun” it could bring to the audience.
“This partnership allows us to bring a fresh yet well-known face to RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch. We are thrilled to share all of the creatively themed content that the world of Shaun the Sheep offers to our fans.”
Category Manager, Interactive and Toys for Aardman, Adam Vincent-Garland, recognizes RollerCoaster Tycoon for its outstanding position in the park-building genre. But, at the same time, not overlooking the distinguishing of their own brand.
“Shaun the Sheep attractions have been entertaining families across the globe for years, so it only made sense to bring Shaun to the beloved mobile game. Players will be flocking to customize their parks with new and hilarious rides and attractions featuring everyone’s favorite fuzzy friend!”
After finding success on PC, the RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise is taking the mobile space by storm. Which, to date, has around 30 million downloads across available platforms, Android and iOS.
While requiring an internet connection for play, RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch is basically for free, with optional microtransactions.
