Buckingham Palace recently announced that the 30-year-old royal and her husband are expecting their first child in early 2021.
The official Royal Family Twitter account stated that the couple’s parents, Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II, were thrilled with the great news.
“Her Royal Highness, Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021. The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr. and Mrs. George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news,” the post reads, followed by a photo of the couple during their wedding.
The royal, who is currently the tenth in line to the throne, also made the announcement on her Instagram.
Princess Beatrice posted a photograph of their hands while holding a pair of fluffy beige infant shoes.
“Jack and I are so excited for early 2021,” she captioned.
The 34-year-old husband of Princess Eugenie is a British wine merchant and a Brand Ambassador of Casamigos tequila– a company co-founded by George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Mike Meldman in 2013.
Rumors sparked that the descendant of the Brooksbank baronets is a distant relative of the royal family.
Moreover, the seemingly private couple met in 2010 at the royal skiing hotspot in Verbier, Switzerland, where her now-husband was working at that time.
After eight years of dating, Brooksbank popped the question during their trip to Nicaragua.
Shortly after, the Palace made an official public announcement stating that the royal wedding will take place in 2018.
“The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr. Jack Brooksbank. Her Royal Highness and Mr. Brooksbank became engaged in Nicaragua earlier this month. The wedding will take place in the Autumn of 2018 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor,” the statement reads.
This was followed by a release of their engagement photos, where Princess Beatrice was donning a padparadscha sapphire ring, surrounded by diamonds.
The couple tied the knot at the famous St.George’s Chapel on Oct. 12, 2018, and attended by an estimate of 800 guests.
The stunning bride wore a gown made by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos and was also photographed sporting an emerald tiara that she borrowed from the Queen.
