Active Nintendo Switch Online subscribers from both Europe and Japan can experience Rune Factory 4 Special for seven days without charge. The promotion comes in the effect of the Game Trials program, which Nintendo includes as a perk for the subscription.
A game that would otherwise cost a substantial sum as a 2020 release title, RF4S, is fully playable in the specified timeframe. Which, to any serious gamer, would be tantamount to a complete experience with the game from the beginning. More so for a game that has a rough estimate of 40 hours of gameplay from start to finish.
“Rune Factory 4 Special” in hindsight
Originally a game released on the 3DS back in 2012, Rune Factory 4 Special is a remaster of the original. It is thereby giving players of the archetypal game a familiar experience while adding something new to the overall.
Aside from the ostensive graphical improvements, the special remaster also comes with additional content. They come in the form of new cutscenes, difficulty mode, and an interesting “Newlywed Mode.” The latter of which lets players enjoy an episode in the game with their in-game spouse as a partner in combat.
Anyone who fits the bill is urged to take advantage of the promo now as the campaign is only valid until November 10. Technically, a day or two short in certain countries to enjoy the full seven days of the promotion.
A perky feature
Game Trials is a mainstay in the Nintendo Switch Online service. Essentially, a feature that gives active subscribers free access to a specific title per week. Initially starting with Mario Tennis Ace, subsequent weeks following the first rollout have led to multiple titles playable without restriction in a week’s duration.
Although the program is accessible for global audiences, the game offer tends to vary per region. A logical reason that explains why the North American region is not part of the event, involving Rune Factory 4 Special.
Most players who leverage on the Game Trial would often finish the game offered. But to those who could not, Nintendo usually offers discounts for the same title soon after the trial expires. A perk that insinuates trial goers to make a purchase should they like the game and want to experience it fully.
While not solely the reason for opting for the online service, there’s no better time to take advantage of a subscription than now. That is, in order to have a first-hand encounter with Game Trial’s current and as subsequent offerings.
