A lot of rumors are surrounding Ryan Dorsey and Naya Rivera’s sister, Nickayla. Now, the 37-year-old actor broke his silence about the issue after news emerged they moved in together.
Ryan Dorsey only had good words for Nickayla. Amid the rumors about them, his 26-year-old sister-in-law had “put her life on hold” to be there for her nephew, Josey Hollis Dorsey, when Naya Rivera died.
Ryan broke silence over Nickayla issues
Ryan finally spoke up as news about him and Nickayla is taking over the headlines. He shared a 12-minute video on Instagram to address Naya’s death, his kid, and Nickayla.
Despite the tragic event, the 37-year-old actor considered himself lucky to have two families on his side. They continuously show their support for the Ray Donovan star, helping him during this difficult time.
He then thanked Nickayla for being there for him and his 5-year-old son with Naya. He said having a young woman, who is Josey’s “blood and aunt,” helps him not feel alone.
Ryan praised her for putting her life on hold, sacrificing things, and uprooting her situation for the sake of his son.
“So when you put your child to bed, you don’t always have to be alone with your thoughts,″ he said. ″You don’t have to be sad every day and night, wondering when does it get better.”
The Blood Father actor seemed to describe Nickayla as someone who he could talk to or “just sit in silence and be sad with.”
“You don’t have to deal with it completely alone,” he continued.”

Nickayla spoke up about Naya, Ryan
Aside from Ryan, Nickayla also spoke up about the issue. In a post on her Instagram Story, shared by In Touch, she asked for “compassion” amid the rumors she moved in with her sister’s ex-husband.
“In the darkest time of my life, the only thing that is important is my friends and family,” she said. She had been “showing up for my nephew, even though I can’t show up for myself.”
She continued she doesn’t care about how things look for others, as they don’t know the “antagonizing moment” they are going through.
“What matters most, I’ve learned, is to show compassion, not to judge others and never take a moment of life for granted,” Nickayla explained. “I hope you all can do the same.”
Her post came after Daily Mail published some photos of her and Ryan, alleging they were moving in together to look after Josey.
A source then told Entertainment Weekly they only wanted to provide “stability” and keep things “consistent” for the kid.
“They simply share the same goal — to give Josey the best childhood possible,” the insider revealed. “To raise him the best they can without Naya.”
However, the tipster didn’t deny Ryan Dorsey and Nickayla found “comfort” in each other as they both understand what they are going feeling after Naya Rivera’s death.
