Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have been together for years, and they share two kids Esmeralda Amada, 6, and Amada Lee, 4. However, an outlet claimed that their marriage was heading south.
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes were only putting a united front for their two daughters, but they had “finally reached the breaking point,” according to a report from Star two years ago.
The split was allegedly inevitable, and one of the factors that affected their marriage was his friendship with Claire Foy. The outlet quoted an anonymous source saying Mendes was “extremely possessive and jealous” of every woman Gosling works with.
The bogus source also pointed out Foy’s split saying it was suspicious. Gosling allegedly talked about Foy’s talent with his wife, and Mendes was furious and demanded what was going on between them. The Hitch star didn’t believe that they were only friends.
The La La Land actor had to be careful because Mendes’ jealousy flared up whenever she heard Foy’s name, the source added.
The report claimed that they were battling over a $75 million fortune. Evan Mendes allegedly wanted to have more child, but Ryan Gosling didn’t agree.
The insider claimed that she would more likely go after his money, spousal, and child support. She was also allegedly after the house, furniture, and everything. So, they would have to face a custody battle. The source also added that their relationship was as good as done.
Gossip Cop debunked the report when it was published, and two years later, it remains the same — the article was not true.
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are still together, and they have never broken up. It was also not true that they were on the verge of a split. A source who knew the couple said the report was not true.
Also, in 2020, Mendes was touched when Gosling dedicated his Golden Globe award for “La La Land” to her family. The Out of Time star said her sister was screaming when and crying when Gosling won, and they watched his speech together, and it was beautiful and surreal when he mentioned their brother’s name.
Also, the outlet has a questionable reputation. It also claimed that Gosling’s family was fed up with Mendes, but the report was also false.
