Ryan Reynolds sure cherishes his fans so much that he still keeps the letter he got from them.
Five years after Deadpool arrived on the big screens, Ryan Reynolds marked its anniversary by sharing a letter he received from a fan.
On Twitter, Reynolds shared snaps of a letter from a fan named “Hunter” and his reply, which, reportedly, never got mailed.
“Five years later, I’m still in awe of Deadpool fans. Hunter wrote me this letter after #Deadpool came out and somehow, my response never got mailed. Holds up. Mostly,” he captioned the post.

In Hunter’s letter, addressing to Mr. Deadpool, he complimented the movie and wished him to keep up the great work.
The fan also said that he felt glad the producers did not tone down the movie that it ended up getting an R-rating.
Despite that, Hunter still respects the whole movie.
“I’m hoping that Fox and Marvel will possibly make a second movie for you, and not a crappy second movie, like most sequels are,” he added. “You deserve to have one more movie for yourself.”
The hilarious part came when the fan confessed that he only wrote a letter for his English class assignment. Per Hunter, they had to write one to someone, and Reynolds became the first one to pop out in his mind.
Reynolds responded!
In the same post, the actor revealed his reply, which the fan never received.
“Thanks for all the kind words in your letter. I’m feeling really good about how Deadpool has been received so far, and yes, I’m glad we got to make it our way,” he wrote.
He revealed that there would be plenty of sequels for fans, assuring it will be released every two years.
The letter also mentioned an “upcoming music festival,” his wife Blake Lively is pregnant with their second child, and the fan meetings he is looking forward to.
Reynold’s film truly caught people’s hearts. When the 20th Century Fox distributed it in February 2016, it immediately topped the records.
With only a $58 million budget, the film garnered box office sales of $782.6 million. The number put the movie to the ninth highest-grossing film that year.
A sequel, Deadpool 2, was released in 2018. Meanwhile, Disney acquired the film’s rights from Fox, and Marvel Studios began developing the third film.
As of the writing, they have not announced the release date yet.
