A new trailer has now been released for Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie! Instead of returning for a fourth season, the Sailor Moon Crystal revival anime series will end the anime franchise with two notable new films.
The said movies’ story is to be taken on the Dead Moon arc of Naoko Takeuchi’s original manga series.
Coming this January 2021 in Japan, the first film in the dual Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie film project will be hitting the big screens.
And to hype fans even more, the upcoming movie has now released a brief new trailer ahead of its forthcoming release.
The first film’s newest trailer reveals the film’s take on the Sailor Scout transformation. Returning to the franchise for these new designs is Kazuko Tadano. He is the original character designer from the 1990s anime adaptation.
Furthermore, the Sailor Moon Eternal movie’s first film will be hitting Japanese theaters on January 8th. On the other hand, February is the schedule of the second film release. Chiaki Kon, director from film’s Crystal‘s third season, is reportedly be returning in the second film.
Serving as a supervisor for the films is the series creator Naoko Takeuchi. Also, this massive project is a joint production between Toei Animation and Studio DEEN.
Also returning in the movies is Kotono Mitsuishi as Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon). Other voice actors who will be part of the film are Hisako Kanemoto as Ami Mizuno (Sailor Mercury) and Rina Satou as Rei Hino (Sailor Mars).
Moreover, other characters include Ami Koshimizu as Makoto Kino (Sailor Jupiter) and Shizuka Itou as Minako Aino (Sailor Venus). Simultaneously, also confirmed in the movies is Misato Fukuen as Chibi-Usa (Sailor Chibi Moon).
Meanwhile, in the Dead Moon arc, there will be brand new additions. This includes Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Pegasus, Shouta Aoi as Fish’s Eye, and Satoshi Hino as Tiger’s Eye.
Also taking part in the said arc is Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Hawk’s Eye, Yuko Hara as JunJun, and Reina Ueda as CereCere.
Lastly, adding to the cast is Sumire Morohoshi as PallaPalla, Rie Takahashi as VesVes, Naomi Watanabe as Zirconia, and Nanao as Queen Nehellenia.
