Samsung Galaxy Book Flex garners much attention upon its release

The Samsung Galaxy Book  Flex is getting a lot of attention lately. Some critics are calling it one of the company’s finest creations in years.

Over the past few years, Samsung has built a prolific lineup of formidable laptops. While most of these devices are passable, some critics point out that none of them stands for the rest. Now comes the new Samsung Galaxy Book Flex.

At the start of the year, the South Korean tech giant said that it is revamping its laptop division. This got the attention of the tech community, and now the company is standing right to its words with the recent release of the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex.

One of Samsung’s finest laptop

What makes the Galaxy Book Flex stands out is its QLED display. It is one of the first few laptops to support this new display technology. This got the community buzzing, with claims that Samsung is now taking the laptop business seriously.

The Galaxy Book Flex comes in two variants, depending on the screen size. One variant sports a 13.3-inch QLED screen, while the other has a bigger 15.6-inch display. Although the laptop still sports screen bezels, they are thin and almost negligible.

Both screen sizes support resolution of up to 1920 x 1080. Though this feature is rather underwhelming in the age of 4K displays, the QLED screen is bright even under direct sunlight. The screen also folds to nearly 360 degrees, essentially turning the laptop into a tablet in seconds.

As for its connection ports, the laptop has two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 ports. It has a microSD card slot, a headphone jack, an HDMI port, and a single USB Type-C port.

The laptop’s body is made of metal. Unfortunately, it only comes in one color variant: metallic blue. The laptop has a fingerprint scanner and a notch that holds the S Pen stylus.

Under the hood of Galaxy Book Flex

At the heart of the new laptop is a 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor. It has 512GB of storage space. In terms of memory, it comes in two configurations: 8GB and 12GB. Samsung claims that the 69Wh battery pack should be enough to last up to 20 hours.

The high-end model of the Galaxy Book Flex costs $1,399. This is an interesting price point for a laptop of this caliber. It can easily compete with the currently available models in the market. Finally, Samsung is giving laptop buyers an interesting, powerful, and affordable alternative.
