The Galaxy M31s, set to launch on July 30, is expected to go big on its display and batter offerings.
There is a ton of speculations surrounding the successor of the Galaxy M31 lately. This week, however, the marketing team behind the Galaxy M31s has finally upped its game.
Ahead of its now-confirmed July 30 launch, the device’s key features and specifications were teased, courtesy of a landing page on Amazon, and a Google Play Console listing.
Infinity-O AMOLED with rear quadruple cameras
Samsung didn’t dilly-dally and propped up the hype on the Galaxy M31s by unveiling its own Amazon landing page. In it, we can see that the phone sports an Infinity-O display, with its cutout situated at the top center of the screen. Note that this is a first for the Galaxy M series.
While it wasn’t shown on the page, it is tipped that the Galaxy M31s will arrive with a Super AMOLED screen and an FHD+ resolution.
The rear panel of the phone is also shown to feature an L-shaped camera module. The setup, which will sport quadruple cameras, is also confirmed to be headlined by a 64MP sensor, right with Samsung’s Single Take function.
Galaxy M31s: 6,000mAh battery and an in-display fingerprint scanner?
The landing page also revealed the phone’s massive 6,000mAh battery offering. Accompanying the enormous battery is a 25W fast charging technology. The phone is also set to feature reverse charging.
The absence of a mounted fingerprint reader on the rear of the phone is especially noteworthy. This indicates that the phone might finally be featuring an embedded fingerprint reader in its display. And since the phone is rumored to be coming with an AMOLED screen, this notion isn’t too much of a stretch.
Google Play Console listing
Where the phone’s Amazon landing page was generous to revealing its key features, its listing in Google Play Console is rather giving in terms of its internals.
The listing revealed Galaxy M31s could launch with Samsung’s Exynos 9611 chipset, with 6GB of RAM. The chip features four Cortex-A73 cores, clocked at 2.3GHz, and four Cortex-A53 cores, clocked at 1.7GHz.
Apart from 6GB RAM, the phone is also tipped to launch with an 8GB RAM version, akin to its predecessor. A 128GB is also likely to launch as its base internal storage tier.
The listing also tipped that the Galaxy M31s will have the Mali G72 GPU, which is clocked at 1,050MHz.
The Galaxy M31s might be retailed for INR 20,000 for its base edition.
