Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will be announced officially on August 5

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will finally be unveiled in an all-online event in the annual Unpacked show that will be live-streamed on YouTube.

The rumor mill about the next Samsung Galaxy phones never stopped spinning. For the past few months, several leaks on the new Galaxy Note 20 surfaced. The Galaxy Fold 2 was also not spared from the rumor hype. Both of these phones will be Samsung’s newest flagship lineup, and both will most likely be the company’s most expensive phones.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 announcement in Unpacked

Samsung has finally confirmed that the Unpacked event this year will be held on August 5. The company announced it via their Newsroom in a succinct manner. It said,

“The desire to make meaningful connections and to stay productive are constants in a world of change. Our mobile devices need to be ready to help us stay in touch with what matters most and give us new ways to work and play.”

The company then invited Samsung followers to join via live stream starting at 12 am AEDT. Live streaming will be available on the Samsung website and YouTube. It will be interesting to see if Samsung does the launch similar to the way Apple did this year’s WWDC 2020.

What to expect in Unpacked 2020

Given all the rumors released ahead of the event, followers can expect five phones to be launched in the event. The headliner will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 20. This line will have the regular Note 20, Note 20+, and the new Note 20 Ultra. The newest model will try to provide solutions to the mistakes that the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra blundered.

As such, the Note 20 Ultra will allegedly not have a Space Zoom feature. Instead, it will just build on the software to improve zoom features on the new phone. All Note 20 phones will allegedly be 5G capable too because of the latest Snapdragon 865 5G platform.

Samsung is also expected to launch the successor to the infamous Galaxy Fold. It will not be called the Galaxy Fold 2. Instead, it will be called the Galaxy Fold Z 2. No specific details about the phone have been leaked. Nonetheless, Samsung patrons can expect the phone to be loaded with all premium features at a premium price point too.

The last phone to be released in the event is Galaxy Fold Z 5G. No significant upgrades, other than 5G connectivity, can be expected in this new model. After the five phones, the Korean company is also expected to release new Samsung Galaxy tablets and the latest Samsung Galaxy Watch 3.
