The Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite may have just been spotted on the Geekbench. It may have a Snapdragon 865 and features 6GB of RAM.
A new Samsung smartphone with a Snapdragon 865 has been spotted on the Geekbench, which might be the Galaxy S20 Lite. If this is true, then S10 Lite is one of the only Samsung phones to be powered by Snapdragon chipsets globally.
Galaxy S20 Lite specs
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite will possibly launch as a Galaxy S20 Fan Edition in October, as per TechRadar. Ahead of its launch, it seems that the rumored Samsung mobile device has reached the benchmarking website, Geekbench, with the model number SM-G781B.
The smartphone on the Geekbench site is further listed with Android 10 and an internal capacity of 6GB RAM. As its name implies, this Samsung “lite” phone is expected to be a watered-down variant of the Galaxy S20 and a successor to the Galaxy S10 Lite.
SamChun, @Boby25846908, a leaker who doesn’t have much of a track record yet, tweeted that the S20 Lite will have a flat, Full HD Super AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate.
He also mentioned that it could have a Snapdragon 865 and a 50MP primary camera. The 128GB storage is still yet to be determined, but it will probably carry Android 10 and 5G features.
Oh wait, wait. S20 FE main sensor is the GN1 50MP, same sensor as the vivo X50 Pro+. My bad 😅 https://t.co/x0fp3NcIV3

We don’t know anything about the design of the next smartphone yet, but rumors claim that it will come in blue, white, and light violet shades.
Release date and price
Samsung is holding an online event on August 5 where we’re fully anticipating to see the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, which will be the new flagship phone. Aside from that, the S20 Lite could also be seen.
So maybe the Galaxy S20 Lite, along with other gadgets, will be announced in early August and then go on sale sometime in October. Of course, we’re not even confident that October is right, not unless Samsung gives us another confirmation.
As for the price, there’s no report on that yet. However, for reference, the Galaxy S10 Lite costs $650 or £579 at launch. So the upcoming Galaxy S20 Lite might be similar, though it might also cost slightly more, with smartphone prices steadily rising in general.
Samsung has a ton of exciting launches for the rest of the year, starting with the Note 20 series in August alongside the S7 tablet and many more. Soon after, we expect the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Z Flip 5G to be revealed. If this Geekbench spotting does see the light of day, it will be another significant smartphone for Samsung.
