Samsung Galaxy S21+, renders leak ahead of launch

Image renders of the Samsung Galaxy S21+ have leaked online ahead of the expected January launch of the company’s flagship line.

Samsung has been on fire lately with great successive launches of impeccable phones. The latest one to hit the shelves was the surprise Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. The Korean company removed all the bells and whistles from the phone that the majority of the market doesn’t need. It also comes with more color options at a significantly lower price.

Earlier this month, Samsung was rumored that it will launch the successor to the S20 line as early as December. It may or may not be true. Nonetheless, renders of the S21 line have leaked online, and they look slightly different.

Samsung Galaxy S21+ renders leak online

A recent series of CAD renders of the Samsung Galaxy S21+ has leaked online. It was uploaded by MySmartPrice. The new mid-tier flagship from Samsung doesn’t look that much different from the S21,

The key difference lies with the screen size, which is 6.7-inch on the Plus model. All the rest are much the same. Samsung still hasn’t found the solution for the hole-punch camera. As a result, it can be found right on the top middle portion of the screen. Fortunately, the front-facing camera’s size doesn’t look too obstructive, which is similar to the Galaxy Note 20’s camera.

At the back, the camera module looks like a seamless transition of the metal border casing of the phone. As such, it doesn’t look awful like a floating block of camera module similar to the other phones. However, the flash was left to stick out like a sore thumb from the seamless camera module.

The screen on the Galaxy S21+ will finally be flat, similar to the Galaxy S20 FE. With the new design, accidental touches will be avoided. The repair costs for the screen replacements can also be expected to be more affordable.

Ultra version of the flagship line

While the Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S21+ aren’t very different. The jump is more pronounced between the mid-tier to the Ultra model of the line-up. The camera system on the S21 Ultra has four cameras.

Having four cameras on a phone is already not impressive nowadays. As such, it remains to be seen how Samsung will blow the market away. It could either integrate more software programming and AI developments for more relevance.

The company can also finally introduce the rumored S Pen support on the S21. If it does, then maybe the Galaxy Note line could officially be axed from the company’s offering.
