The Galaxy Tab Active 3 is powered by the Exynos 9810 chipset, also known as the Galaxy S9 or Note9’s chipset. It’s paired with 4GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of storage. You can insert additional storage since it is expandable with microSD cards.
The tablet runs Android 10 with DeX mode for a desktop-like experience along with security protections of Knox. Aside from that, it also has Biometric authentication with the fingerprint reader or face recognition.
In terms of camera, there’s a 5 MP front-facing camera for video calling or even for a selfie. At the rear, you will have a 13 MP cam, great for general photography.
It includes Samsung DeX, ensuring dual-screen functionality. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 has an Active Key on the side of the device, which allows instant access to frequently-used apps. It also has an IPS68 certified S pen.
A desk is not this tablet’s natural habitat. It has a 5,050 mAh battery that can be swapped out by the user on the go. You can also charge the new Galaxy tablet in docks via USB or pogo pins.
The “No Battery Mode”
Aside from the usual charging situation, the new tablet can also be powered on and run without a battery. Yes, you read it right. And this is the “No Battery Mode” of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3.
When the battery is detached, but you want to use the tablet, you just have to insert it directly from a power source.
