The Galaxy Tab S7 series is already slated to be announced at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5.
Ahead of its impending launch next week, the duo from the Galaxy Tab S7 lineup has popped up in the rumor mill yet again. This time around, Samsung’s forthcoming flagship slates emerged on Google Play Console, cementing some of their crucial hardware specifications.
Galaxy Tab S7: Plus variant to launch with an extra 5G compatibility
Accordingly, the series will be arriving with Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + LTE models. Their listing also revealed that the Galaxy Tab S7+ variant would launch with an extra 5G compatibility. This version is also tipped to debut in markets where the next-generation network is already widely accessible.
The Google Play Console listing of the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ also showed that the series would be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+. It will also be coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM tiers.
The display resolutions of the tablets were also mentioned. Corroborating previous leaks, it was revealed that the vanilla edition would feature a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. At the same time, the Plus model will sport a slightly higher resolution of 2,800 x 1,752 pixels. Both tablets should feature AMOLED panels.

Apart from the series’ listing in Google Play Console, noted tipster Evan Blass also managed to reveal one more vital information about the tablet series via some of its official images.
The series appears to confirm what we’ve already come to know previously. The tablets still have thin bezels, revamped S Pen, and the absence of any fingerprint scanners. The latter is an indication that the sensors should make their way underneath the tablets’ AMOLED panels.
Wireless DeX and chunky batteries
Another highlight feature that might debut with the tablet series is the tablets’ support for “Wireless DeX.” The feature might allow users to experience Samsung’s desktop-like interface to an external computer or monitor, sans the need for a cable.
In terms of battery, the non-Plus model will reportedly pack a 7,040mAh battery. The Plus edition, on the other hand, will launch with a bigger 10,080mAh battery. Both versions will support 45W of fast wired charging. Note, however, that the devices may only ship with a 15W charger in the box.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 lineup could also feature dual rear cameras. These are to be headlined by a 13MP sensor, plus a 5MP ultrawide camera. Their front could sport an 8MP selfie snapper.
Samsung is expected to launch its next-generation premium tablets with the Galaxy Note20 lineup and Galaxy Z Fold 2, among others.
