The Galaxy Tab S7+ is also tipped to arrive with the newly-minted Snapdragon 865+ chip, which features 5G support.
The vanilla Galaxy Tab S7 has been hogging the limelight lately, for reasons that are only understandable. Samsung’s upcoming flagship tablet is on its way to becoming one of its most headline-grabbing, if not the more interesting in its long-established lineup.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ takes center stage with the newest Qualcomm flagship chip
Ahead of the series’ purported unveiling on August 5 at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, the Plus variant of the lineup is now more than determined to take center stage. After the regular Galaxy Tab S7’s CAD-based renders have been released to the wild, the alleged specs sheet of the larger edition has been leaked.
Accordingly, the tablet is set to be powered by Qualcomm’s new flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 865+ SoC. This should indicate that the upcoming tablet will arrive with support for 5G.
Super AMOLED screen
The tablet is also revealed to feature a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 1,752 x 2,800 pixels. The S Pen functionality is also confirmed for the tablet.
Alongside the newest flagship chipset, the tablet is also tipped to launch with at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Another key feature that is slated to be retained is the tablet’s camera offerings. The Galaxy Tab S7+ will still offer dual cameras on its rear, with configurations that are identical to the Galaxy Tab S6 – a set of 13MP main and 5MP secondary sensors. There is also an 8MP selfie snapper that should be equipped at the device’s front panel.
An even more massive battery
Perhaps the biggest revelation of the leak is the Galaxy Tab S7+ battery. As per the notes provided, the tablet is en route to feature an enormous 10,090mAh capacity, which is still unheard of in its class. Samsung is yet to reveal about the tablet’s fast-charging support. But given that the Galaxy Tab S6’s launches with a 15W charging feature, the Plus variant of the forthcoming series is very much likely to retain it, if not go extra with the said perk.
In terms of pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ is likely to arrive with a higher price tag, heftier than its predecessors. Note that the standard Galaxy Tab S6 debuted with a USD 549 pricing. It launches with Snapdragon 855 chip, a 10.5-inch display, and a 7,040mAh battery.
According to its Danish certification database, the Galaxy Tab S7+ is likely to employ Samsung’s 45W fast wired charging feature.
