The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Lite may not arrive in 2020 after all. Instead, it may arrive sometime in 2021 when manufacturing goes back to normal.
Samsung was very busy this year despite the pandemic. They released their phones according to plans. However, it remains to be seen how their shipment numbers will fair considering the global pandemic. Nevertheless, they ended their launch season with a bang with the release of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.
In this lineup, Samsung featured only the cream of the crop hardware that they could slap on their device. On top of that, they also fixed the hardware and software issues from the previous generation. Unfortunately, as they put more premium features on the phone, the lesser people are able to buy it.
As such, there have been rumors that Samsung may still have one more trick up its sleeve this year with a release of a cheaper foldable. Unfortunately, the rumor has just been put to rest by Ross Young.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Lite might arrive in 2021
As mentioned earlier, Unpacked Part 2 this year has already come and gone. It was a fitting show where Samsung launched its ultra-premium foldable phone. It was already teased in August Unpacked Part 1. Nevertheless, the phone still wowed the crowd when it was discussed in detail.
Contrary to earlier rumors, there will be no encore from Samsung this year. What was supposed to be a groundbreaking announcement will have to wait till 2021 for the release. Ross Young, a Samsung tipster, shared that fans will have to wait a little longer to see a more affordable foldable phone.
Galaxy Fold Lite not happening in 2020…Possible in 2021 though.

He said that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Lite could be released sometime next year. If it is any indication, Samsung releases its new Galaxy S phone line sometime in March. In other words, Samsung fans may be treated yet again for a double-header of the Galaxy S21 sometime in February or March.
Details about the affordable Samsung foldable
Rumors and leaks about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Lite have been scarce. If at all, Samsung may not even launch the phone anytime soon. Nonetheless, the Z Fold Lite will most likely be a watered-down version of the Z Fold 2.
In other words, its camera system could lose one or two lenses. Its chipset could simply be a mid-range Exynos or a Snapdragon 765. The Z Fold Lite could also not come with 5G bands, which is the normal downscale from premium phones.
