Samsung launched its latest M series phone and has been marketing it as the “meanest monster” in India.
Samsung launched the Galaxy M51 in India on September 10 (Thursday), and the phone pushes levels to the extreme while exploring a different terrain.
Samsung previously claimed that the Galaxy M51 to be a “monster” because of its mammoth 7,000 mAh battery. For context, most customers opt for a 10,000 mAh battery in purchasing a power bank.
The said product is the first phone of the brand that hails a 7,000 mAh battery. Samsung has packed a 25W fast charger in the box and claims that it can fully charge the device in just 115 minutes.
Creating a phone with such a big battery is the perfect example of irony for Samsung, who suffered a significant blow because of the Galaxy Note 7.
The said phone is also one of the firsts by Samsung that does not have an Exynos equivalent in terms of its processor. Unlike most of the other phones that Samsung produced, this one will only have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G as its processor, available in all regions.
Samsung M51: specifications
Apart from the battery and the mid-range SoC, Samsung’s M51 supports a 6.7-inch “sAMOLED plus” display. With the massive battery and powerful screen, users can enjoy a video playback of up to 34 hours.
The phone supports a 3.5mm head jack for audio devices, a feature that is almost extinct in 2020.
The phone comes in two variants, a 6GB+128GB and an 8GB+128GB variant. The dual-sim function is available and a dedicated memory card slot.
There are two color options, the celestial black, and electric blue.
Furthermore, the Galaxy M51 owns a quad-camera setup in the back featuring a 64MP wide camera and 12MP ultra-wide camera. It also has a single 32MP selfie camera that sits on the screen with a hole-punch design.

Samsung M51: price and availability
In India, the cheaper version of the phone was launched at 24,999 rupees (340 USD), and the higher end was launched at 26,999 rupees (367 USD).
As for its availability, the Galaxy M series has always been an India-specific series, so the chances of Galaxy M51 launching in any other country is low.
However, The Galaxy A series has always been close to the Galaxy M series in the country, and there are high chances for the launching of similar phone features to other countries with a different name, possibly a Galaxy A series phone.
Since Samsung has already developed the technology for a phone with a 7,000 mAh battery, it would not waste the research and development. Samsung would closely watch the sale of the Galaxy M51 in India before taking any further steps.
