Samsung will be holding the Unpacked event completely online. Fans can expect Samsung to unveil more than just the Galaxy Note 20 in the annual event.
The Coronavirus pandemic has forced companies to be creative this year. In just three months, global companies have completely shifted to a completely online world. Despite all the negatives that the pandemic has brought to the world, there are still silver linings that have manifested.
One of such is companies realize that they can hold their company’s annual events online. The change can be clearly seen in the consumer tech world where launches have been limited online. Nevertheless, the reception of the fans and media for such has been great.
Samsung is about to follow the same footsteps as other smartphone companies have done earlier this year.
Unpacked online
This year, Samsung is rumored that it will hold its August Unpacked event online. This doesn’t come as a surprise considering the guidelines that the CDC has recommended for mass gatherings. The news still hasn’t been confirmed, but Samsung is expected to make an announcement within a month.

Samsung will definitely release the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 line up in this online event. They are also expected to release the predecessor in the Samsung Galaxy Fold line up. Other devices that may be released in Unpacked are new Samsung smartwatches and smart home devices.
Galaxy Note 20 expectations
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will not just be a copy clone of the Samsung Galaxy S20 phone. Unlike the latter, the Galaxy Note 20 will not have the 100x Space zoom feature. The company didn’t seem to be contented with the feedback on the superior camera capacity.
The Galaxy Note 20 though will still have a 108MP HM1 sensor similar to the Galaxy S20 model. The Galaxy Note line up will just have two models, the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20+. Contrary to earlier reports, there will be no Galaxy Note 20 Ultra model.
Both the Galaxy Note 20 devices will have a hole-punch selfie camera that will most likely be centrally positioned. The Snapdragon 865 SoC will be its main processor for the US and China markets, while Exynos 990 will be the processor for the European and Indian markets.
Galaxy Fold 2 release
The new Galaxy Fold 2 will most likely be released with the Galaxy Note 20 phones. It is also rumored that the new foldable phone will have the same S pen as its contemporaries during the launch. Fans may also be in for a treat as Samsung delves into a more realistic price point for the Galaxy Fold device. According to some reports, Samsung may release a ‘lite’ version of the Galaxy Fold 2 that will just have the $1,699 price tag.
