Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 revolutionized user experience with a widescreen and enhanced features in terms of functionality and is said to be the 2020 best Android phone.
As the company announces its virtual launch on August 5, many tech experts are waiting to have their hands on the device due to its promising hardware specifications. Many experts believe that it can beat Apple’s iPhone 12 this year.
What is promising for Note 20 is the big screen, improved camera, and fast performance. Aside from its blazing performance, it is also believed that the use of this earbuds device can be wearable and even foldable to other aspects of the phone. What do we know about Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20? Here’s what we’ve gathered so far:
Its screen size is 6.42 inches (2345 x 1084), with a screen refresh rate of 60Hz or 120 Hz. It has 8 GB of RAM with CPU run by Snapdragon 865+/ Exynos 990. Storage can be 128 GB, 12 MP front camera, 64 MP telephoto 12 MP ultrawide, time-of-flight sensor.
Tech experts believe that this is the start of a new series for the Galaxy Note, and with these features, competition in the smartphone industry is getting tougher. Samsung is focusing on its stylus-equipped Note phones for the upcoming August event. Together with the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 are the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 Plus and Note 20 Ultra, which offers a full screen and upgraded performance.
The camera for the Note 20 Ultra comes with either a laser autofocus sensor or a 3D ToF sensor that aids portrait shots and speed focus. The Note 20 doesn’t have Ultra’s fourth sensor but only three rear cameras, as suggested by a diagram layout by Evan Blass, a known phone leaker.
Aside from the Galaxy Note 20, there are more things to look forward to at Samsung’s Event this August 5. Devices such as the Galaxy Buds Plus and this time, rumors of its feature of active noise cancellation, are now included.
In a post in Samsung’s online newsroom, the head of Samsung’s mobile business, Tae-moon Roh, shared that the company will introduce five new devices at the event. Leaks and rumors point to two Galaxy Note 20 devices and the Galaxy Fold 2, which would be a follow-up to last year’s Galaxy Fold.
Samsung’s Unpacked event takes place virtually on Wednesday, August 5, at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT. It will also be streamed live from South Korea. You can join CNET before, during, and after the event on its live stream hosted by Senior Editors Iyaz Akhtar and Bridget Carey. Senior Reporter Shara Tibken will make a special guest appearance before the event.
