Scarlett Johansson has begun her motherhood journey with Colin Jost.
While Scarlett Johansson just surprised everyone with Black Widow premieres, she delivered another one by revealing her pregnancy news.
In a new report by Page Six, a source confirmed that Johansson is already expecting her first child with Colin Jost. Multiple sources revealed that the actress wants to carry her second child as private as possible.
“Scarlett is actually due soon, I know she and Colin are thrilled,” one said, before another added, “Scarlett is pregnant but has been keeping it very quiet. She has been keeping a very low profile.”
Another source revealed that the Avengers: Endgame star modified her schedule to ensure their privacy. Usually, she travels to Amagansett and Montauk during summer. She also walks her dogs or gets coffee regularly.
However, this year’s summer became incredibly low-key for her by stepping out of the spotlight temporarily.
As of the writing, neither Johansson nor Jost already confirmed the news.
The child inside the actress womb’s will be his first and Johansson’s second. She shares her daughter Rose with her ex-husband, Romain Dauriac.
Johansson, Jost wants to have a family ASAP
The baby news came one year after Jost expressed their desire to finally have a baby.
In an interview with USA Today, the comedian said that both of them wants to start a family soon after they got married.
“It’s strange because a switch kind of flipped for me [with fatherhood]–I don’t know–a year or two ago or something,” he said. “It’s definitely on my mind. It’s gonna be, I’m sure, very challenging, but I also think it could be really fun.”
Johansson and Jost first met on the set of SNL in 2006. At that time, the actress hosted the show for the first time while her now-husband became a writer on the show.
In Jost’s memoir A Very Punchable Face, he recalled how he saw Johansson as someone “beautiful, smart, sweet and intimidatingly sophisticated.”
“She has just turned 20 and I was 23, but in terms of status and maturing she was here [holds hand above head] and I was here [holds hand one inch off ground],” he wrote.
In 2017, Johansson filed for divorce from Dauriac and came back to SNL to host for the fifth time. At that time, they were already single, but the Black Widow actress was not open to a new relationship.
From June 2017, the public began spotting them together more frequently until they finally met their parents in November.
Johansson and Jost made their first red carpet debut during the premiere of Avengers: Endgame. They walked together again during the MET Gala until they decided to take their relationship to the next level.
They got engaged in 2019 before officially got married in October 2020.
